I have never built a Web site where lessons weren’t hard learned.  The biggest on the Charney project have been…always build on open source, there’s no such thing as plug and play, and there’s always someone with more experience who can help, it’s just a matter of finding them!   I also learned how to go outside of my comfort zone and do a “tiny” bit of programming…plugin installs and creating Facebook application integration isnt’ easy!  I am happy the site is finally in soft launch, and am looking forward to the new database back end coming on line soon so we can step on the gas!
